 YOUTH COMMISSIONERS

What are Youth Commissioners?

Youth Commissioners are young people elected by their peers to represent their local area. Their job is to advise the Police and Crime Commissioner on policing and crime issues affecting children and teenagers and represent the views of young people. Two Youth Commissioners are elected in each borough in the West Midlands.

Youth Commissioners attend five meetings a year as well as attending the Youth Summit, where they report on the work that has been done and consider what issues young people want to raise in the coming year.
